Saturday, Oct. 31 has 10 games on the NHL schedule, with the first two at 1 p.m. ET. No team has named a starter yet; most will do so after Saturday's morning skate. Statuses move to expected or confirmed on the Oct. 31 board as they are reported, and each entry lists who started that team's last game.
Teams to watch
Flames (at Colorado, 10 p.m. ET): back-to-back. Calgary is the only Saturday team that also plays Friday. Dustin Wolf starts Friday at home against Seattle, Flames radio's Pat Steinberg reported, with Devin Cooley out after a lower-body injury on Wednesday. The Flames recalled Arsenii Sergeev from the AHL on Friday. Our Wolf story has the background.
Oilers at Islanders (2 p.m. ET): projections in. NHL.com's lineup projections list Tristan Jarry first for Edmonton, ahead of Matt Tomkins, and Ilya Sorokin first for New York, ahead of Semyon Varlamov. Both are expected, not confirmed. Jarry shut out Calgary on Wednesday, and Sorokin won 4-3 in overtime at Minnesota on Thursday.
Senators (at San Jose, 4 p.m. ET): after a pull. Jonas Johansson started Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss at Los Angeles and was replaced by Samuel Ersson after allowing four goals on 16 shots, the box score shows. Ersson made 20 saves in relief. Ottawa has not said who starts Saturday.
Sabres (at Los Angeles, 4 p.m. ET). Colten Ellis won Thursday's 7-6 game at Anaheim despite allowing six goals, per the box score. Two nights earlier he made 23 saves for a shutout at San Jose.
