Two more Saturday starters are set, and the late game in Vancouver now has projections.
Canadiens: Jacob Fowler, confirmed. "Jacob Fowler vs @penguins," TVA Sports reporter Renaud Lavoie posted from Montreal's morning skate, and Radio-Canada's Marc Antoine Godin posted the same. Fowler is 6-1-0 with a 1.54 goals-against average, a .942 save percentage and two shutouts in seven starts, and 3-0-0 with two goals allowed on 101 shots during Montreal's four-game winning streak, according to NHL.com's On Tap. Jakub Dobes made 17 saves in Thursday's 5-2 win at Dallas. The Penguins (5-6-2) have points in three straight. Pittsburgh has not named its goalie.
Red Wings: John Gibson, confirmed. "Gibby in net," Red Wings game-day host Kara Wolfbauer posted on Saturday morning. NHL.com had projected Gibson, who started Thursday's 4-1 win against Chicago, for the afternoon game against the Blues.
Maple Leafs at Canucks, 7 p.m. ET
Neither team held a morning skate, so these are projections, not announcements. NHL.com's projected lineups list:
- Maple Leafs: Anthony Stolarz, expected, with Sergei Bobrovsky second. Bobrovsky started Wednesday's 5-4 loss at Seattle.
- Canucks: Leevi Merilainen, expected, with Kevin Lankinen second. Thatcher Demko (hip) is injured, and Filip Chytil (shoulder) is out.
The preview also says Chris Tanev returns for Toronto after missing nine games.
Still waiting
Pittsburgh, Columbus, Dallas, Calgary and Colorado had not named starters at our last check. Correction: an earlier version of this article gave the wrong start time for Maple Leafs at Canucks. It is 7 p.m. ET.
Update, 5:15 p.m. ET: Stolarz, Sergei Murashov, Jet Greaves, Jake Oettinger, Arsenii Sergeev and Mackenzie Blackwood have since been reported as starters. See our Saturday night update.
Every Saturday game is on the Oct. 31 board, and we move goalies from expected to confirmed only when a team or a reporter at the rink names them. Nothing here is betting advice.
