Dustin Wolf, Flames: 20 saves on 22 shots, win. Calgary beat Seattle 6-2 at Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday, the NHL.com box score shows. It was the Flames' fifth straight home win and fifth in their past six games, per NHL.com's recap. Matt Coronato had a goal and three assists.
Philipp Grubauer, Kraken: 10 of 14, pulled. Grubauer started for a second straight game and was replaced by Joey Daccord at 10:40 of the second period. Daccord made 11 saves in relief. "I would say probably the worst 40 minutes I've been a part of since I got here," Kraken coach Lane Lambert said of the last two periods, per the recap.
Calgary's back-to-back
The Flames play at Colorado at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday, the NHL schedule shows, and had not named a starter at our last check. Devin Cooley is week to week with a lower-body injury from a crease collision on Wednesday at Edmonton, NHL.com's status report says. The Flames could go back to Wolf on consecutive nights or turn to another goalie; we will post whoever the team or a reporter at the rink names.
Colorado has not named its starter either. Mackenzie Blackwood started the Avalanche's last game, a 5-2 win against New Jersey on Wednesday, making 20 saves on 22 shots per the NHL.com box score.
Both teams are on the Oct. 31 board, which we update as starters are named. Seattle does not play again until next week. Nothing here is betting advice.
