Adin Hill Starts for Vegas Against Ottawa After Carter Hart Is Hurt at the Morning Skate

Golden Knights: Adin Hill, confirmed. Carter Hart was injured during the Golden Knights' morning skate on Tuesday, and Hill will start against the Ottawa Senators at home (10 p.m. ET), NHL.com's status report says. According to NHL.com, Hart fell and then limped off the ice, and coach Ryan Craig said he was being evaluated.

"(Hart is) in good hands," Craig said. "We got a plan here moving forward either way. We'll be ready for tonight."

Vegas has not given any further detail on Hart's injury, and we are not going to guess at it. We will update this page and the board when the team does.

Senators: Jonas Johansson, confirmed. Coach Travis Green kept the same lineup, with Johansson starting again, Jackson Starr reported. Johansson also started Saturday against the Rangers.

How the Vegas net has been split

Hart had been doing most of the work: he is 4-3-1 with a 2.76 goals-against average and .889 save percentage in eight games, per NHL.com, and he started Saturday at Columbus. Hill has made five starts and is 4-1-0 with a 2.95 GAA and .882 save percentage, according to his NHL.com game log. His most recent start was a loss at St. Louis on Oct. 22, when he allowed six goals on 31 shots; before that he had won four straight starts, against Vancouver, Toronto, Nashville and Pittsburgh.

Vegas is 8-4-1. The Golden Knights also get forward Mitch Marner back Tuesday after he missed two games following the birth of his child, NHL.com reports.

Who starts Friday?

Unconfirmed. After Tuesday, Vegas does not play again until it hosts New Jersey on Friday, Oct. 30, per the team schedule. That gives Hart a few days, but the team has not said whether he will be available.
